The village of Upper Harlestone boasts many footpaths/bridlepaths ideal for walkers and ramblers alike, yet is only a five to seven miles away from junctions 15a, 16 or 18 of the M1 and a short drive into Northampton town centre.

The gardens of the Long Barn and Broombank include two barbeque and outside eating areas. Within the lovely well kept gardens we also have a koi carp pond, duck pond and summerhouse, ideal for reading, sketching or tranquil reflection.

Local attractions include Holdenby House and Gardens Coton Manor Gardens with its feature bluebell woods and many interesting species of duck/wild fowl. Approximately 2 miles away is Althorp House, the family home of the Spencers, with its interesting museum and tributes to the life of Princess Diana. Slightly further afield can
be found Rockingham Castle, Stoke Bruerne Canal Museum and Sulgrave Manor (ancestral home of George Washington). For motor sport enthusiasts there is the National Motorcycle Museum and the Silverstone Race Track some 30 minutes drive by car.
